Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the educational planning of the Directorate of Education at the region of Riyadh in the era between 1437هـ-1438هـad., where the researcher used the descriptive analytical approach. The study sample were elected randomly from the study population which were composed of all the educational leaders in the directorate, its administration and its various sections for the primary and secondary educational phases. The sample was given to 64 educational leaders. The questionnaire was used as a tool to collect the required data and information.The study sample consisted of 64 educational leaders. The study concluded that there are deficiencies in the components of the educational planning system (inputs, outputs, operations), which were defined by the study's axes.Where the shortage was represented in the absence of programs for people with special needs and programs for women. As well as, in the lack of continued training for teachers except through the university, which in the opinion of educational leaders is insufficient. Also, the lack of education for the teacher to be an accompanying and knowledgeable teacher to graduate the encyclopedia in the field of public culture; there is a lack of interest in the implementation of the educational planning strategy, these methods were developed to be the interlocutor of the teacher, the curriculum, the student and the guardian and there is no involvement of public opinion in the plans education and even teachers do not participate in educational conferences in large proportions and there are no educational conferences in schools. in addition, school libraries have not been distributed in schools to increase the knowledge, literature and general science of students, providing them with the skills of learning and creating a cultured and conscious generation.
