The study aimed to define the reality of the competitive advantages of private universities and colleges in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and what are the ways to improve them, and the study reached some important results, including: that competitiveness is a competitive type at the state level, at the sector level, at the level of the organization, and in the field of education there is competition at the level of the education sector And the competitiveness of the higher education institution, and that competitive advantages mean the university’s ability to achieve market supremacy over competing universities, that is, it is values achieved thanks to strategies applied that are not available to competitors, which are of various types: cost advantages and advantages in difference “distinction” and have three main strategies: A lesser strategy Cost, differentiation strategy, and focus strategy, and that the emergence of competitive advantages is the result of internal factors such as the presence of distinctive or creative capabilities, external factors and the resulting rapid reactions and the ability to exploit external changes.
