The study aimed to find the relationship between reading comprehension and academic achievement in mathematics for elementary grades in primary schools, and the researcher followed the descriptive connective approach, and the study sample consisted of (208) students divided into two exploratory groups and its number (103) students: (35) students for the first grade And the same for them for the third grade, and (33) for the second grade, and basic number (105) students, and they were distributed equally by (35) students for each class.
The researcher prepared six tests: three to measure reading comprehension, and the same to measure academic achievement, by two tests for each of the primary grades, one for reading comprehension, and the other is achievement, and each test consisted of (20) multiple choice types, and conducted for honesty and consistency tests, And statistical analysis of its paragraphs.
The study resulted in the results of a relationship between reading comprehension and academic achievement in the mathematics course for the first three grades.
