Abstract

In light of the recent developments that have occurred in the world today, and the challenges that hinder the achievement of its goals and the implementation of its perceptions and goals; we find that the biggest challenge lies in the effective functioning of the educational process in countries with their various ideologies and goals. The emergence of the novelCovid-19 pandemic has led to changing several educational plans at the global level and the local level. This has necessitated the existence of modern crisis management processes by educational centers, and the availability of supporting educational plans. To measure the reality of managing the educational crisis in light of Covid-19 pandemic, the researcher uses the descriptive approach which reads the reality and measures it, then provides appropriate solutions and appropriate perceptions. A questionnaire consisting of two areas was used, the first area being the general performance of the Ministry of Higher Education in facing crises before they occur, and the second being the general performance of the Ministry of Higher Education in facing crises as soon as they arise. The study sample consisted of 432 of employees in the educational and teaching bodies in the Kuwaiti public, private and higher education institutions, who were chosen randomly. The study reached several results, including that the current performance of the Ministry of Higher Education during the crisis was average based on the views of the of educational and teaching staff. The study also showed that there are no differences arising due to differences in job positions and administrative sectors in the employee estimates of the role of the Ministry of Higher education regarding the Ministry’s role in managing the current Covid-19 crisis. The researcher made several recommendations, the most important of which are training and training of staff in various job positions in the Ministry on the various methods for crisis management.
