Abstract

This study aimed to identify the reality of psychological preparation among players of the Jordanian national teams for individual sports during the Coronavirus outbreak. Additionally, it sought to assess the levels of depression and anxiety among these players during the same period. To achieve this, a descriptive method was employed with a sample consisting of 54 participants. To minimize face-to-face interaction, an electronic questionnaire was created using Google Forms, containing 28 items addressing depression, anxiety, and psychological methods used with players. Of these items, 12 were related to depression and anxiety, while 16 were focused on psychological methods. To analyze the data statistically, the researchers used means, standard deviations, and percentages. The results indicated that the levels of depression and anxiety were high among the study sample, with a mean of 2.44 and a standard deviation of 0.48. Furthermore, the average use of psychological methods by players during home quarantine was low, with a percentage of 29.63%. The researchers recommend the implementation of new strategies to provide psychological care for these players in light of home quarantine conditions.
