Abstract
This study aimed to identify the relationship between the level of nutritional behavior and front crawl achievement among students at the School of Sport Sciences at the University of Jordan. A descriptive approach was used, and the study sample consisted of 15 students enrolled in a level (2) swimming course at the School of Sport Sciences at the University of Jordan. To collect data, a nutritional behavior questionnaire was utilized, which consisted of three dimensions: food behavior management, food quantity, and food quality, comprising a total of 40 items. Additionally, a physical condition test was conducted, consisting of five dimensions: muscle strength, endurance, speed, flexibility, and agility, which included a total of 30 statements. The study also included a front crawl achievement time test for distances of 25 m, 50 m, and 100 m. The results indicated that the better the level of nutritional behavior, the greater the overall physical condition and its dimensions (muscle strength, endurance, speed, flexibility, and agility). It was also found that improved nutritional behavior correlated with higher levels of swimming achievement at 25 m, 50 m, and 100 m among students in the level (2) swimming course at the School of Sport Sciences at the University of Jordan. The researchers recommended intensifying nutritional awareness programs for students at the School of Sport Sciences, providing guidance on appropriate food behavior habits, and encouraging adherence to them, especially during university hours and practical swimming lectures.
