Abstract

The study aimed to identify the role of kindergarten principals in Zarqa Governorate in achieving the professional development of female teachers and its relationship to job performance. A study sample was selected from the study population using simple random sampling to ensure that the sample represents the community from which it was drawn, consisting of a total of 222 individuals, including 58 principals and 164 teachers. Two questionnaires were used to collect the necessary data to achieve the study's objectives. The first was to measure the role of kindergarten directors in Zarqa Governorate in achieving the professional development of teachers, while the second was to measure the level of job performance. The results showed that the level of job performance among kindergarten teachers was found to be high, and there was a positive, moderate, statistically significant correlation at the significance level (α = 0.05) between the role of kindergarten principals in achieving the professional development of female teachers and the level of their job performance. The study recommends enhancing the role of kindergarten principals in the professional development of female teachers.
