Abstract

The study aimed to identify the level of intellectual security among postgraduate students in the faculties of education at universities in northern Jordan and its relationship to affirming the values of tolerance from their perspective. The study had two primary objectives: first, to measure the level of intellectual security among postgraduate students, using a questionnaire consisting of 30 items distributed across four areas: religious intellectual security, national intellectual security, political intellectual security, and technological intellectual security. The second objective was to measure the level of affirmation of the values of tolerance, using a questionnaire consisting of 25 items. The sample comprised 336 male and female students, selected through simple random sampling. The findings indicated that postgraduate students exhibited a high degree of intellectual security, and there was a statistically significant positive correlation at the significance level (α = 0.05) between the level of intellectual security and the level of tolerance values. It is recommended to encourage postgraduate students to express their political opinions within the university, adhering to ethical guidelines.
