Abstract
This study aimed to identify the role of teachers in improving the level of intellectual security among tenth-grade students in public schools in Ajloun Governorate, as perceived by principals and teachers. The descriptive survey approach was adopted, and data were collected from a simple random sample of 350 male and female principals and teachers out of a total of 2,976. To achieve this aim, a questionnaire with 22 items was developed. Data analysis revealed that the role of teachers in improving the level of intellectual security among tenth-grade students was rated as low. Furthermore, the results indicated significant statistical differences related to gender, favoring females, and related to academic qualifications, favoring those with graduate studies. However, the results did not show any significant statistical differences related to job title. Based on the findings, a set of recommendations was presented, the most important of which is the need to discuss the issue of intellectual security while considering the prevailing global, regional, and internal conditions, especially in light of the spread of cultural invasion.
