Abstract

This study aimed to explore the effectiveness of creative supervision methods in enhancing the professional identity of trainee counselors. The study sample consisted of 30 trainee counselors enrolled in the Department of Educational and Counseling Psychology at the Faculty of Education, Yarmouk University. The participants were randomly assigned to two groups: an experimental group (n = 15), which participated in the supervisory program, and a control group (n = 15), which did not receive any intervention. To achieve the study objectives, the researchers used a professional identity scale to collect and measure data in pre- and post-tests for both groups, as well as a follow-up test for the experimental group only. The analysis of covariance results revealed statistically significant differences between the experimental and control groups in post-test scores on the professional identity scale, favoring the experimental group, which indicates the effectiveness of the training program.
