Abstract

This research is based on the observation of the euphemized words in Saheeh Al-Bukhari, which are concerned with the physiological processes in its sections: the field of sexual relations, the field of need to answer a call of nature, and the field of the Hadath; the recognition of Muhammad Khan's ability to translate these words; and finding paired equivalents in English especially those that cause difficulty for translators in general and in particular for the translator Muhammad Khan.

To reach the aimed goal, research is done in two parts: theoretical section and applied section. This study deals with the objectives, scope, problems, and importance of this research. The theoretical section deals with the meaning of the term "Euphemism", and the positions in which the speaker speaks in order to be lenient, and the motives to use euphemism and its causes, in addition to the means of leniency. In the applied section, we included words from Saheeh Al-Bukhari. and the finding of the language equivalents that Muhammad Khan used in his translation of the euphemized words in Saheeh al-Bukhaari, euphemisms.
