Abstract

This study investigates the approach of the Algerian cheikhTouati Ben Touati and his general trend in the interpretation of the valuable Durr. The study encompasses two sections. The first section included the definition of CheikhTouati himself and his interpretation, his interpretation’s methodology, and his general trend. The second section included cheikhTouati’s approach in a detailed way providing some examples, illustrations, and comments. In the last part of the section, our inferences were given in light of our knowledge and understanding of his interpretation. The findings of the study revealed that the Durr’interpretation is considered to be an educational and jurisprudential one. In other words, cheikhTouati was interested in the determination of the legitimate rules and hearts’ repair. Therefore, his interpretation can be classified to be within a jurisprudence trend or within a jurisprudential trend.
