The research aims to understand the nature of electronic banking services and knowing the most important advantages and risks associated with in case of Islamic banks. And then showing the methods of managing the risks of electronic banking services in Islamic banks، with a focus on the role of regulatory bodies in the management the risks of electronic banking services. The research relied on descriptive and analytical approach، through a number of secondary data sources، as well as the interview method as a primary source of data.
The results of the research are as follows: Risk is closely related to the performance of the Islamic Bank. With regard to electronic banking services، it includes several advantages, which are accompanied by several risks such as: strategic risks، operational risks, reputation risks, legal risks and other general risks. The management of the risks of electronic banking services are several ways: avoidance, reduction، sharing or transfer. The study also found that regulators have a prominent role in managing the risks of electronic banking services in the Islamic Bank, whether through the tasks entrusted to the Shariah Supervisory Board or by considering the role of the Central Bank in adopting international, regional and national standards, the use of effective supervision and control tools, for Issuing electronic money or other instruments. With regard to international institutions, they have a clear role in managing the risks of electronic banking, such as the role of the Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions and the role of the Basel International Committee and the role of Islamic Financial Services board.
