This research aims to clarify the meaning of "Irsal" in Al-Hafiz Al-Mizzi's view, as well as deriving the evidences to explain his ruling on the routes of narrations with discontinuity in his book "Tahzib Al-Kamal".
The study concluded that "Irsal" in Al-Hafiz Al-Mizzi's view means absolute discontinuity (of the sanad). Meanwhile, the evidences that he depended on, among them are based on the temporal relationship between the narrators, either due to young age or not being contemporary. Among them are due to the difference in the residential of the narrators, while some are revealed based on declarations of negated hearing. And some of the pieces of evidence are related to the status of the narrator and the issues of the Isnad, which are represented by studying the (hadith) narrations and contemplating the formulas used by the narrator in his narrations.
