Abstract
This study investigates the biography of Abdulrahman Bin Al-Hakam in the andalusian sources and the encyclopedias of the mamluk era, The importance of the study lies in proving that literary encyclopedias in theMamluk era are a essential source of Andalusian literature, and their importance is no less important than the main Andalusian sources, in focusing on the most important political and literary events that had a pivotal role in the renaissance and development of life in Andalusia under the shadow of The Islamic rule that lasted for more than eight centuries, Prince Abdul Rahman bin Al-Hakam was chosen as a subject for study, due to the importance of his political and war role in expanding the circle of the Islamic State during his rule, and imposing its full control over parts of the Andalusian Peninsula with its sophistication and strength, and his role in the development of life Literary, by enriching the Andalusian Library with the precious prizes of rare books, as a poet and lover of science, In addition to his contribution to the development of Andalusian music, and his achievements in the reconstruction of the country.
The nature of the research necessitated making use of the historical method in studying political and historical events. This was preceded by an introduction to the importance of the research, its objectives, results, and previous studies
