Abstract
This study investigated the role of educational supervisors in developing teachers professionally in Jordanian public schools from the perspective of those teachers. It targeted the following areas: (planning, assessment, teaching, and classroom management skills). The researcher adopted a descriptive analytical approach and developed a questionnaire. She selected a purposive sample consisting from four hundred (400) female and male teachers. Those teachers were selected from thirty five (35) primary and secondary Jordanian public schools. Questionnaire forms were distributed to those teachers via email. 382 questionnaire forms were retrieved and considered valid for analysis. SPSS program was used to process data. Descriptive statistical analysis was conducted. The researcher found that the degree to which educational supervisors develop teachers professionally in Jordanian public schools is high in all the targeted areas jointly and separately. She recommends developing standard plans for providing the teachers who are fresh graduates and the teachers who are recruited recently with support by the educational supervisors
