Abstract

The study aimed to identify the degree of employing mathematical thinking skills among mathematics teachers in Jerash from the point of view of the primary students in light of the achievement variable in Maths. The study population consisted of all primary students in Jerash governorate for the academic year (2017/2018 AD), as the number of governmental schools that contain the above-mentioned grades combined reached (83) schools, and given the difficulty of accessing the study population, a random cluster sample consisting of (9) Schools where the number of sample reached (642) male and female students representing (11%) of the study population. (the measure of employing mathematical thinking skills) was the applied study tool consisting of (48) items. The results showed the degree of employing mathematical thinking skills among mathematics teachers It was with a high score with an arithmetic average (3.74) and a level substantially less than the acceptable educational level (80%), as well as differences in the level of employing mathematical thinking skills attributable to achievement in favor of high-achieving students
