Abstract
Writers in the Umayyad era paid a clear interest in messages, based on the development of this art on the one hand, the rise of writers among the rulers, princes and caliphs on the other hand, and the emergence of bureaucracies and the development of their presence in the Islamic state on the third hand, all of these elements directly contributed to the development of the art of messages. In general, and contributed to the change in its methods, which was linked to the manifestations of workmanship, good writing, and accuracy of expression.
The research aimed to reveal the manifestations of introduction, delay and omission within the artistic messages in the Umayyad era; Because of this era of privacy in its literary aspects, it represents the launch of the various literary arts in a new and different way after the stability of Islam, the expansion of the Islamic state, and the entry of various races into the structure of Islamic society.
The research reached a set of results, the most prominent of which is the good use of these methods when writing letters, especially in the introduction and delay
