Abstract

This research deals with the opinion of Al-Hakim Al-Jashmi in his interpretation (Al-Tahdheeb) in the narrations related to the length of Surat Al-Ahzab, and that it was like Surat Al-Baqarah or longer,

The importance of this topic comes from the point of view of the value of Al-Jashmi's opinions and their position among the commentators, and from the point of view of the need to clarify the correctness of deleting parts of Surat Al-Ahzab.

The research aimed to show Al-Jashmi’s reasoning that made him invalidate these narrations and discuss them in comparing the sayings of the scholars. Where the idea of research is summarized in answering a possible question, which is: What is Al-Jashmi’s opinion of the narrations that say that large parts of Surat Al-Ahzab should be deleted?

The study adopted the two approaches: descriptive and analytical in order to reach the results, the most prominent of which was: Al-Jashmi's opinion of the narrations is very true, correct and sound.
