Abstract
The aim of this research is to investigate pillow - lava rocks and amper formation, which located in the top of Syrian ophiolite complex. We test about (50) chemical and mineralogical analyses, to find out the concentration, type, and the distribution of these metals and minerals, in the Bassit region in Latakia. This study help to define the petrogenesis of ambers and he's relationship with upper pillow - lava, we thought that amber was formed by the result of some reasons such destruc tion of pillow - lava, or the result of reaction of lava with seawater, or hydrothermal activity of seawater. Addition to define the chemical, and mineralogical composition of them. Also, to define the economic importance of these rocks and black soil. it contain some metals such ( Fe , Mn , Mg ) and some of REE , such ( V , Co , Ni , W , Pb , AS .. )
