Abstract

The current research aims at evaluating scientific documentation and citation skills in light of technological advances among graduate students in Gaza Strip universities from the students’ perspective. The researchers followed descriptive analytical approach; they prepared an evaluative questionnaire as a research tool, and applied it on an available sample that consisted of 106 male and female graduate students. The study shows the following results: - -The level of possessing characteristics of scientific researcher, and the level of possessing referencing and citation skills among graduate students are high, (84%), (81%) respectively. Moreover, the level of making scientific references and citation by using technological advances is medium (72%). - -There are no differences in the study tool among graduate students at the universities in Gaza Strip from the students’ perspective, due to the variable of gender, or due to the variable of University. - -There is a correlation between the level of researcher ethics and the level of scientific documentation and citation skills. Moreover, there is a correlation between the level of researcher ethics and scientific documentation and citation skills in light of technological advances among graduate students.
