Abstract
In some adaptive sampling designs, expectations need to be calculated as sampling progresses. For situations when these calculations need to be done in the field where there is no access to computers, or for very complicated and computer intensive calculations, we introduce an approximation method. The method to approximate the expectation is based on conditioning on small set of points. An application of the approximation method is described for a sample design with a complicated estimator.
