Abstract

In this paper we have suggested some median based estimators in absence of the auxiliary information in stratified random sampling. Expressions for the bias and mean square error are derived for the proposed estimators and comparison is made with the existing estimators. An empirical study is conducted to observe the efficiency of estimators.
