Abstract
The work done in this article is concerned with the development and efficient estimation procedure of population mean, using information on auxiliary variables at the estimation stage in double sampling. We have proposed a general class of estimators and the properties of the proposed estimator are examined. Theoretical conditions have been made under which our proposed class of estimators are superior to the existing ones. Empirical studies are carried out to assess the behaviours of the proposed class of estimators with respect to the exiting estimator
