Abstract
In this paper, we proposed some regression estimators for estimating the population means using linear combination of first quartile, third quartile and standard deviation of the auxiliary variable which are known. Mean square error (MSE) of the proposed estimator is obtained and compared with that of simple random sampling without replacement (SRSWOR) sample mean, classical ratio estimator and existing ratio estimator’s .Theoretical result is supported by a numerical illustration.
