Abstract
Two new parameters are added to the transmuted Laplace distribution. The proposed model is the generalized transmuted Laplace distribution. The statistical properties provide the moments, moment generating function and differential entropy. Estimation of parameters using the maximum likelihood method is investigated, as well. A real data set is used to show that the new distribution is a better model.
