Abstract
In this paper, we consider initial value problem of Bratu-type equations of fractional order 1 < α ≤ 2. Compact finite difference schemes corresponding to α = 2 and 1 < α < 2 are proposed. Also, convergence analysis of the methods are discussed separately. Some examples are also presented to show the efficiency of the methods.
