Abstract

Ethics is a word that has multiple connotations, some of which are related to individual behavior. Others are related to social behavior,There are many definitions of the term ethics; the linguistic significance of these definitions confirmed that morals are natural, innate qualities inherent in the human soul. The conventional meaning of morals has two forms of life, the good life and the other life opposite it, which is the life of evil in all its colors, shapes, and documents. Ethics constituted the central axis of Islam and other divine messages. Likewise, the philosophers of the ideal school in the Greek civilization believe that the main element in the state is the individual; the behavior of the state is a reflection of the behavior of its members collectively because the individual is a moral citizen as much as a political citizen. In Europe, specifically in the Middle Ages, the confusion became apparent, and the deep overlap between ethics and politics and that relationship was a feature of the ancient philosophies and the philosophies of the Middle Ages. The Renaissance in Europe was known as the era of the separation of morals from politics due to the revolution against Christian values led by some of the philosophies of that era, including Machiavelli. Marxism believes that ethics emerge as a method of guiding in the world of values and that it is directly related to the question of which system of values the society presents and how to change this system.
