Abstract

The current study aimed to identify the effectiveness of employing electronic mind maps in the academic achievement of seventh students in mathematics in the capital, Amman. The researcher used the quasi-experimental approach. In order to answer the questions, the study relied on the achievement test after verifying its validity and reliability. The research sample consisted of (62) female students from the seventh grade. They were divided into two groups (the experimental group and the control group), each group consisted of (31) female students. The results of the study showed that there were differences in favor of students who studied using electronic mind maps (the experimental group) compared to students who studied in the usual way. The study also showed that there were differences due to previous achievement. The study also recommended the need to hold workshops on how to prepare and apply electronic mind mapping technology and urge mathematics teachers to attend these workshops and train them on how to use them in teaching different levels of students.
