Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the teaching competencies and adaptation skills in the university work environment of the contracted faculty members who are not speaking Arabic at the University of Northern Borders, from the viewpoint of both university students, and the university administration represented by the deans of colleges and their agents, and the research sample included (250) A student of the university students, among the deans and agents of colleges, in the academic year 1440/1441 AH,
a questionnaire was applied to the evaluation of the performance of a faculty member from the administration point of view (administrative work, academic work, personal characteristics, cooperation with work colleagues), while a performance evaluation questionnaire was applied Member of the Board of Directors Q. In light of the teaching competencies from the point of view of the first university students, after confirming their stability and sincerity, and the level of each adequacy was determined as the statistical indicators (mean, standard deviation,
standard error, and relative importance) were calculated. Results showed that the level of teaching competencies, which are the competencies of carrying out teaching and academic competencies, and the adequacy of cooperation with colleagues, were very good. The competencies of communication with students were weak. As the competencies of adapting to the work environment, were all very good. Results were discussed and recommendations were proposed.
