Abstract
The objective of the study is to examine the characteristics of Arab entrepreneurs under global competitive challenges. This is realized through a questionnaire and a sample of 357 respondents from five Arab countries (Iraq, Jordan, Syria, Egypt and Algeria). Data was collected and analyzed through e-mail and traditional mail. SPSS was used for analysis. A number of hypotheses were formulated and tested. Respondents identified 16 challenges that had a major effect, and 13 other challenges related to Arab entrepreneurs' performance. It was recommended that a clear-cut entrepreneurship strategy is formulated with a view to establishing joint Arab entrepreneurial enterprises to add value to Arab economic integration. It was also suggested that an Arab academy for entrepreneurship be set up to exchange knowledge and competencies among Arab entrepreneurs
