Abstract

This study aimed at identifying the level of organizational culture prevailing at King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah, identifying the level of strategic thinking among female leaders in the university, in addition to measuring the impact of organizational culture on the strategic thinking of female leaders at King Abdul Aziz University. The study community consisted of all female leaders at King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah, reaching (271) female leaders. The study was conducted on a random sample of (138) female leaders at King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah. The researcher used the descriptive analytical approach as a method of study. The researcher used a questionnaire consisting of three parts (personal data- organizational culture- strategic thinking( as the study tool. The study concluded many results including: There is a positive impact of organizational culture on strategic thinking among female leaders at King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah. The policies and procedures adopted at the university are clear and specific and contribute to providing the appropriate atmosphere for the performance of job tasks. The results also showed that all types of strategic thinking (holistic, planning, abstract, diagnostic) were practiced by female leaders, and there were no statistically significant differences between the average responses of the study sample members on the level of organizational culture in all its dimensions (policies and procedures within the universities, laws and regulations, behavioral patterns, organizational values, organizational culture level as a whole). The results of the study also confirmed that a number of women leaders rely primarily on understanding the problems and then developing alternatives based on the facts and this certainly ensures the university the safety of decision-making and finding solutions in the administrative crises that it faces.
