Abstract
This study aims to identify the role of social factors in the student’s choice of university specialization in Lebanese universities, to determine whether there are statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.05) between the averages of the responses of the study sample individuals about the role of social determinants in the student’s choice of university specialization Attributed to the gender variable.
In order to achieve the goal, the descriptive analytical method was used, by preparing a questionnaire that was applied to (623) male and female students after ensuring their honesty and consistency.
The results of the study showed that social factors are not the only primary determinant in a student's choice of his university specialization, but there are other social, economic, personal, and academic determinants, and there is a statistically significant relationship between the student's gender and his choice of his university specialization.
