Abstract

This research aims to uncover the notion of historical self-awareness and to explore the novelist's ideology regarding the surrounding world, which is artistically reinterpreted through his narrative techniques. By employing the tools of semantics, the novelist seeks to achieve this within the text. In his novel, the writer employs verification and editing as structural strategies. The murder of the character, the son, serves as both a central theme and a means to reflect upon the other characters, allowing the author to delve deeply and expose the hidden simplicity and societal fragility within them. This approach highlights the transformations affecting individuals and traces the emergence of a new society shaped by changing conditions that challenge and transcend Morocco's rich archaeological heritage. The research focuses on investigating the concept of ideology and examining the archaeological dimensions present in the narrative through the visionary character Farsavi, who embarks on a quest for the statue of Bacchus. This narrative device constructs a temporal judiciary that contrasts differences and coalitions among the characters' issues and their cultural, existential, and civilizational productions and approaches. Consequently, Al-Faraswi's blindness is depicted not merely as an artistic element but to reveal reality. It serves as a critical perspective on the complacent present in contrast to the rich inherited past, allowing ideology to crystallize within the linguistic narrative fabric. The research adopts an analytical textual method, utilizing a semiotic structural narrative approach. This methodology clarifies the title's significance and the perspective created by the vision inherent in the novel, revealing its deeper meanings and implications.
