This study is aimed at evaluating Islamic education curriculum for the 8th & 10th Classes, from the view of teachers during the academic year 20072008/. The sample of study consisted of (49) male and female teachers. The research instrument consists of a questionnaires include (85) items specific to (5) domain. The result of study showed that the evaluations of Islamic education teachers for the all of each domain: (curriculum purpose, index, the methods and teaching ways, educational activities and the evaluation) was medium in average. The teachers agreed that there are some negatives in the curriculum such as: the huge amount of the scientific material in comparison with the number of the class hours, the destitution of the book to the problem solving techniques
and teaching with examination, unavailability of charts and maps that are using for clarification, absence of encouraging students to recourse to the other knowledge reference, unsuitability of size and direction of the book, and usage of the traditional methods of evaluation. Also the study showed a number of strength points in the curriculum like: proffering the content of the curriculum with a proper language, the curriculum devoid of contradictions and mistakes, organizing of ideas and headlines and subsidiary titles in a suitable form, agitate the student to think and develop their mental skills. There were no statistical significant differences found at (α=0, 05) level with regard to teachers' responses attributed to gender (male, female). There were no statistical significant differences found at (α=0, 05) level with regard to scientific level (bachelor or less, master and doctorate. In the light of results, the researcher recommended the following: The concentration of the ministry of education on the specialized training course to provide the teachers with the needed skills of teaching the developed Islamic education curriculum. Providing the suitable technological techniques at the schools. The necessity of review in the number of Islamic education's class times. The necessity of verify teaching methods and methodical and unmethodical activities and the using of the modern educational ways in teaching the Islamic education. The necessity of responsible authority participation in curriculum department to prepare programs and projects related to the activities and method of Islamic education teaching .
