Abstract

The aim of this study is to show the influence of parents' disinclination from participating in school councils on school violence. A random sample, consisted of (205) school principals, was addressed via a questionnaire to measure this influence. The results showed that the parents' disinclination from participation as a whole was moderate. In addition, results indicated that there was significant statistical differences at α = 0.05 between the responders' means due to responder's gender in favor of male principals. Furthermore, results indicated that there was significant statistical differences at α = 0.05 between the responders' means due to the study variable, school stage, in favor of secondary school principals. On the other hand, results showed no significant statistical differences in responders' means at α = 0.05 due to school size or school location.
