Abstract

This research is significantly useful and important since it deals with a narrative text written by one of the pillars of the Palestinian culture, who has always been the pivotal and leading contributor in shaping the Palestinian literary heritage. This research is especially important when it and in detail analyzes the "The Apricot of April", which is singled out for having the threshold marginality in the novelist's literary product and how this marginality is melted into the text itself. In fact, the questioning of the textual margins is extremely important since it highlights its power in reading the anecdotic and narrative structure together and simultaneously with the roles of the core text and their consequent functions not only on the connotational, explanatory and aesthetic levels, but also on the ideological and psychological ones.
