Abstract

The study aimed to finding the Impact of demographic factors on human communication skills among Arab adults. The sample of the study consisted of (943) individual by selecting the random sample. To achieve this, the researcher used the scale of communication skills -designed by the researcher- and consisted of: dialogue, body language, listening, and speaking skills. The study concluded a number of results. The communication skills among the study members are used at ahigh level. There are statistically significant differences between males and females in all communication skills variables for the benefit of males. There are statistically significant differences between married and unmarried regarding the variables of: dialogue, body language, speaking, and communication skills for the benefit of the married. There are statistically significant differences between the rural inhabitants and the urban inhabitants on all variables of communication skills for the benefit of the rural inhabitants. There are statistically significant differences among the sample in all variables of communication skills regarding the education level variable. There are statistically significant differences among the sample in all variables of communication skills regarding the age variable. The study recommended the need to intensify the training courses in communication skills for the low educated groups; and to work on utilizing young people’s free time.
