Abstract
The current study aimed to identify the level of cognitive biases and communicative competencies, and verify the correlation between them. It also aimed to explore differences in cognitive biases and communication competence according to gender and party affiliation variable. The researcher used the descriptive correlation method. The sample of the study consisted of (260) male and female students from Al-Aqsa University. They were selected by using the available sampling method, to achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher translated the measure of cognitive biases Davos, the Assessment of Cognitive Biases Scale (2013). The researcher also adopted communicative Competence measure prepared by Khuzai (2017) The results of the study showed that cognitive biases are below average, and the level of communication competence is high. The results of the study showed a negative relationship between cognitive biases and communication competence.It also showed no differences in cognitive biases and communicative competence according to gender and party affiliation variable.
