Abstract
The current research aims to identify the relationship of emotional intelligence with each of the personality characteristics and psychological happiness. Also, to identify the degree of contribution of both emotional intelligence and the personality characteristics in the predictability of psychological happiness. The result has been shown a positive correlation between psychological happiness and emotional intelligence among Taif University students, also it confirmed a correlation between the dimensions of the emotional intelligence scale and some dimensions of the personality characteristics and the total score for him. Emotional Intelligence came first in terms of its contribution to students' psychological happiness, while the measure (the personality characteristics) in the second order.
