Down syndrome Saudi children's apparel problems with regards to their physical Characteristics
Abstract
This research deals with determining the physical characteristics of children with Down syndrome, and arriving at the clothing problems that correspond to this group, identifying the clothing preferences for children with Down syndrome, and developing a proposed modification of the basic model for children to suit the bodies of people with Down syndrome, and the research followed the descriptive approach in the form of a "case study" to answer the research questions, a questionnaire was prepared to collect the necessary data from the study sample and distribute it to those who care for children with Down syndrome at Badghish Center for Care and Rehabilitation in Jeddah, and the study reached to identify the clothing problems that faced children People with Down syndrome, and a proposed modification of the basic model by the method of Alterch targeting both (front and back neck opening - front and back shoulder line - and the front and rear axillary lesions - abdomen line - and sleeve)
