Abstract
This research aims to reach the best marker fit efficiency and the best marker length for men’sKaruh jacket. Several marker widths and Karuh repetitions have been used for several sizes. The basic pattern of me n’s Karuh jacket has been designed and prepared. The patterns have been graded and fitted by using 54 fits, that includes several sizes of the jacket (48-50, 48-52, 48-54, 50- 52,50-54, 52-54). Several marker widths have been used (146-148-150 cm). Three volumes have been used for Karuh repetitions (3×3-4, 5×4, 5-5, 5×5, 5). The results showed that: The volume of Karuh repetition (3×3) scored the best value of quality factor for both fit efficiency and marker length, by using marker width 150 cm for all samples with their sizes. But, the volume of Karuh repetition (5,5×5,5) scored the lowest value of quality factor for both fit efficiency and marker length, by using marker width 146 cm. This study presented some of important recommendations such as: the importance of using several Karuh repetitions with several volumes, and studying their effect on the marker fit efficiency and marker length, in order to enhance the quality of the products of ready-made clothing manufactories.
