Abstract
This research aims to find the control standards for simulating traditional costumes as accurately as possible. To rooting the traditional identity not only, but to use it in daily life, theatrical costumes and documentaries at the same time. The research problem arises in the unavailability of shops selling traditional costumes despite the overcrowding of the markets with shops selling galabiyas, the majority of which are imported and do not represent traditional Saudi fashion. This would destabilize the true image of the Saudi dressed heritage, thus losing our traditional identity. Thus, the availability of controlling standards to mimic traditional costumes will support small enterprises to ensure their success when producing them in the most accurate way without distorting their characteristics. The state trends and recent initiatives represented in the establishment of the College of Culture and Arts and the accreditation of the Bachelor of Science in Cinematic Arts, as well as the Master of Theater Literature. Group of different experiments were conducted using "Adobe Photoshop" to find out how much the costume retains its authenticity after making the adjustments. The questionnaire for judging the originality of the costume was prepared according to the following axes: structural lines of the design, the color of the outfit, the pattern of the fabric, the decorations added to the design, and the design in general. The stability of the resolution was calculated using the Cronbach alpha equation. The reliability of the internal consistency of the resolution was also measured. The electronic questionnaire was distributed to 97 individual members of the College of Design and Art to investigate their views on the extent of the applied designs related to traditional costumes. Analysis of variance was used to find the relationship between evaluation in general and all variables. The linear regression between the evaluation in general and other variables was also calculated to determine the authenticity of the costume. By analyzing the results, the researcher was able to monitor the most important criteria that preserve the authenticity of the traditional dress, which were: The importance of preserving both the structural lines completely, and the basic decoration in terms of shape and place. While it was noticed that changing the color of the garment, or the breadth, or the shape and type of the decoration or simplifying it; It does not diminish the originality of the outfit. This confirms the existence of an inverse relationship, according to which: the fewer changes made to the elements of the uniform; The more authentic it is, and vice versa. Accordingly, the researcher recommends the importance of the criteria that have been set to benefit in the implementation of small projects, such as opening shops that contribute to the production of traditional costumes locally, which can be worn on various occasions, or used in documentaries or educational materials, which contributes to preserving the traditional identity.
