Enriching Khayameya Artifacts with Optical Fibers Using Color Contrast between Shape and Background
Abstract
Khayameya art is considered one of the arts of heritage originality as a traditional craft spread in popular places in Egypt, and the two researchers resorted to the use of neutral colors (white - black - gray) in the production of Khayameya crafts. Using optical fibers in the production of home furnishings of heritage value with a contemporary vision in line with the requirements of the modern era in the implemented models, The aim of the research is to create tents' artifacts with neutral colors and to employ the principle of color contrast between the shape and the floor, and to enrich them with optical fibers to raise the value (aesthetic and functional) of the art of tents, The importance of the research is due to presenting new ideas for the art of Khayameya to revive the ancient Egyptian heritage with a contemporary vision, The two researchers designed and implemented 4 models of various Khayameya artifacts, and the research sample consisted of a group of consumers whose ages range between 25-40 years and their number (45) women in Minya Governorate, and the research followed the descriptive analytical approach. Research problem: The research problem can be formulated in the question: What is the possibility of benefiting from employing the principle of color contrast between the shape and the ground, using neutral colors in the production of tents and enriching them with optical fibers? Objectives: Preserving the survival and continuity of the art of Khayameya and developing it in a modern way.Implementing tents' artifacts by using neutral colors and moving away from traditional colors in order to raise the value (aesthetic and functional) of Khayameya art.Using the principle of color contrast between shape and ground in the production of Khayameya artifacts in order to raise the value (innovative, aesthetic and functional) of Khayameya art.Enriching Khayameya crafts with optical fibers to raise the (innovative, aesthetic and functional) value of Khayameya art.Measuring the opinions of consumables in the modernly executed Khayameya crafts. Methodology : The study followed the descriptive and analytical approach. Results: The presence of statistically significant differences between the four models implementing Khayameya artifacts in achieving the innovative aspect according to the opinions of specialists. There are statistically significant differences between the four models executed for the Khayameya artifacts in achieving the aesthetic aspect, according to the opinions of specialists. The existence of statistically significant differences between the four models implementing the Khayameya artifacts in achieving the functional aspect according to the opinions of specialists. The existence of statistically significant differences between the four models implementing the Khayameya artifacts in achieving the functional aspect according to the opinions of specialists. The existence of statistically significant differences between the four models implementing Khayameya artifacts in achieving the technical side according to the opinions of specialists.
