Abstract

The early childhood stage is one of the most important stages in human life, where children tend to move, play and conduct experiments in the surrounding things, and therefore children acquire many skills. Accordingly, children’s clothes, at this stage, must be based on a scientific basis in terms of design using specialized designers who study the characteristics of children’s stages of growth to develop designs appropriate for each stage, and that the artistic and aesthetic touches must be added to children's clothes, and this is an important factor when designing children's clothes. Illuminated objects and bright colors attract children’s attention more than the dark ones. Therefore, illuminated threads should be used in the decoration of children's clothes as phosphorous colors increase children's energy levels. The problem: From the above, it becomes clear that the problem of the research is represented in linking design and embroidery technology to give an aesthetic touch to children’s clothes through the use of illuminated threads to decorate children’s clothes because children at this stage are interested in decorating their clothes and prefer bright colors, as the decoration of their clothes contributes to attracting their attention and arouse their joy and happiness. In light of the above, the research problem can be formulated in the following questions: 1. What are the specifications of children's clothes in early childhood (from 3-6) years? 2. What are the characteristics of the illuminated threads used in automated embroidery machines suitable for children's clothes for children (3-6) years?3. What is the possibility of utilizing the illuminated threads in the style of automated embroidery in children's clothes? 4. What is the degree of acceptance by the specialists of the proposed designs in the decoration of children's clothes with the illuminated threads for the childhood stage (3-6) years? 5. What is the degree of acceptance of the “mothers” consumers of the proposed designs for decorating children’s clothes with childhood threads for childhood stage (3-6) years? 6. What is the possibility of implementing the proposed designs for children's clothes embroidered with the illuminated threads, which obtained the highest results out of the research sample point of view? Objectives: 1. To determine the specifications of children's clothes for childhood stage (3-6) years. 2. To study the characteristics of the illuminated threads used in automatic embroidery machines suitable for children's clothes for childhood stage (3-6) years. 3. To benefit from the use of illuminated threads in the style of automated embroidery in children's clothes. 4. To measure the degree of specialists' acceptance of the proposed designs for decorating children's clothes with illuminated threads for the childhood stage (from 3-6) years. 5. To measure the degree of acceptance of consumers “mothers” of the proposed designs for decorating children’s clothes with illuminated threads for the childhood stage (from 3-6) years. 6. To implement the proposed designs for children's clothes embroidered with illuminated threads, which obtained the highest results from the research samples. Method: The study used the descriptive approach for studying the specifications of children's clothing and studying the characteristics of the luminous threads used in automatic embroidery machines suitable for children's clothing. It also adopted an experimental approach for presenting design proposals for decoration of children's clothing using the technique of automatic embroidery with luminous threads, polling the opinions of both fashion design specialists in specialized colleges and "mothers" consumers regarding the proposed designs and implementing a set of proposed designs, which obtained the highest scores by the research samples. The research sample consisted of (11) specialists in fashion design, and 51 consumers (mothers of children). Major results: The key results of the study are as follows: - There are various properties of the illuminated threads used in the automated embroidery machines suitable for children's clothes for children aged (3-6) years, they are as follows: (the illuminated threads have a water-repellent capacity and can withstand mechanical pressure, and a temperature that may reach 160 degrees Celsius, as well as it withstands about 1000 hours of exposure to ultraviolet rays, and there is no problem in using the illuminated clothes, as they are non-toxic and not dangerous to humans, and illuminated filaments glow in the dark, and have a lighting effect that lasts almost forever.) - There is a correlation between the ranking given to the implemented designs by both the specialists and consumers (mothers of children) in light of the evaluation axes for each of the designs at the value of (T = 0.794), which is statistically significant at the level of significance (0.05), which is a direct relationship, meaning that there is agreement regarding the evaluation out of a scientific and practical point of view. - There are differences between the proposed designs regarding using the illuminated threads in the style of automated embroidery to enrich the aesthetic aspect of children's clothes in achieving (basics of design, the aesthetic aspect, utilizing the illuminated threads, evaluation items (as a whole)) according to the opinions of specialists and consumers. Most of the proposed designs in the decoration of children's clothes with the illuminated threads for children aged (3-6) years gained a high degree of acceptance according to the opinions of specialists and consumers "mothers". The design of the sixteenth dress came first, followed by the fifth design, then the seventh design, and eventually the twentieth design.
