Abstract
Usually the designing artist seeks to get free of the familiar solutions. This pushed the researcher to fins creative solutions to benefit from the modern technical media which represented in PicsArt photo editor application. This application concerns with photo editing and drawing. It enables users to use and amend phots in addition to share these photos with other users of PicsArt. It is free available application for mobile underoid devices and iPhone. It is similar to Photoshop program but it is more simple and easier. The PicsArt application is a proposed method to save time and effort in addition to achieve several good results for alternative ideas and benefit from electronic design process to get several alternatives for one design. It also has advantage of low costs comparing with famous other programs. The Saudi plastic art consider a good source of inspiration in the field of designing in relation to the aesthetic richness in the artistic work of Saudi plastic artists. So, this study tries to benefit from the Saudi plastic arts as a source of inspiration to gent modern designs of upholstery fabrics in a way achieves the functional benefit in addition to the aesthetic value comes from capabilities of PicsArt on the mobile phone. The study problem : represented in answering the following questions: -How could we benefit from PicsArt application in designing printed upholstery fabrics with decorations inspired from the Saudi plastic arts? - How could we create new designing elements and contents from Saudi plastic arts and graphically treating it in favor of designing upholstery fabrics by using smart phones applications "PicsArt"? Objectives: The study aims to reach creative designing solutions suitable to printed upholstery fabrics with decoration inspired from the Saudi plastic arts by using of application of PicsArt and smart devices. Also the study aims to propose new educational approaches help in the creative thinking through creation of new designs and plastic solutions by using PicsArt application on smart devices in addition to found new approaches to produce creative designs of upholstery fabrics inspired from Saudi plastic arts through variables of shape and color in PicsArt application. Methodology: The study follows the descriptive analytical approach in the theoretical framework. This method based on collecting the information of the study, as well as the experimental method of the pilot experiment to reach innovative design solutions suitable for printed upholstery fabrics through the use of the PicsArt application and smart devices. Results: The study concluded that the PicsArt application can be used to reach new design solutions in the field of designing the printed of upholstery fabrics with motifs inspired by Saudi plastic art, and the possibility of using mobile phones as a tool and technology for designing textile printing using the PicsArt application. The researcher dealt with (17) paintings works of Saudi plastic artists and working on them. Also, it is possible to benefit from the application of PicsArt in the design course to facilitate for students and to save time and effort in addition to find various design solutions with high accuracy in easy way comparing with manual work, Also it is possible to benefit from elements of Saudi plastic art as one of the sources through which it is possible to open new horizons for innovative visions in the production of modern designs that are compatible with the local and global markets and contribute to the enrichment of Arab culture as well as modernizing and developing the thought of the textile printing designer and keeping pace with the developments of the times that would open up areas of local competition And global and increases purchasing power.
