Abstract

Art is a human phenomenon generating from an individual origin, which makes it express the culture of the society emanating from it. There is no art without society, which is a manifestation of the cultural life of the peoples. Art and culture are the source of the cultural heritage of any society، African art is a symbolic art characterized by itself and has its own trait which is distinguished by simplicity and impartiality and carries a lot of aesthetic values that reflect the outcome of the interaction of the African artist with his environment to meet his spiritual and material needs, That makes this art as a source to enrich the field of textile printing design. Although the effects of African art under the eyes and sight of humanity, it has only paid attention to the importance of modern African art was only interested in the early twentieth century, despite its cultural value and the richness of its artistic values. The problem can be summed up in the following question: How can African artistic symbols be used in the creation of one-piece textile printing designs with computer capability? Objective of the research is to study the aesthetic and morphological values of the African artistic symbols. It also aims to study the characteristics and features of African art and the factors that influenced the African artist and to innovate one- piece textile printing designs with diversity in their application as clothing and furnishing fabrics to confirm the richness of their artistic values. The importance of research in achieving an innovative technical vision for one-piece textile printing designs by creating contemporary design ideas inspired by the aesthetics of African art. Methodology of the research depends on the historical method: by following the historical development of African art, analytical descriptive method: the artistic analysis of African art symbols through technical models. Experimental methodology (applied artistry): Conducting the artistic and applied experiments derived from the previous studies of the subject and apply them in the field of one-piece textile printing. Results the research proved that the study of African art carries with a special artistic character and a unique identity enriching the fields of applied research and artistic studies, and showed that the artstic analysis of African art symbols is rich in aesthetic and formative values, which can be used to enrich the field of textile printing design, It can also be applied in a contemporary and diverse manner, such as clothing and furnishing fabrics whether printed hangings or curtains according to the design ideas created by the researcher, The study also confirmed that the use of computer programs in the design of textile printing has a pivotal and effective role that enriches the design process and supports the textile printing designer in creating designs with modern vision,
