Abstract

This paper studies developing several design solutions that help the designer to design packing and packaging in less negative impact on the environment. The research also shows how to deal with raw materials for the packaging industry and how to choose the ideal materials for the manufacture of packages. problem Statement: Wastes that are caused by the residual of packaging of industrial products are one of the major environmental and economic problems. The question that arises at this level is; "How can the environmental challenges caused by packaging be overcame? What measures, mechanisms and design methods could be applied to reduce the environmental impact of packaging materials?" Research Objectives: Reduce the impact of packaging materials on environment and contribute to the activation of the concept (green-marketing and green-packaging) in the community. Importance of research: The research is concerned in studying one of the most important factors affecting the competitiveness of the product in the markets, namely packaging design, and the importance of choosing materials suitable for packaging and their impact on the environment. As well as knowledge of methods and strategies that can reduce the negative impact of packaging materials on the environment. Mythology: the analytical description method. Results: challenges and environmental problems caused by the packaging industry were Identify to reach specific solutions. Several design solutions that help reduce the environmental impact of product packaging were provide.
