Abstract

Statement of the problem: The problem can be formulated in the following questions: What are the anthropometric measurements of children's bodies in the 5th and 6th primary grades in relation to backpack pattern design?[a1] What is the correlation between theLengths, Breadths and Circumferences measurements of children's bodies in the 5th and 6th primary grades? What is the possibility of concluding a table of measurements of the school bag according to the anthropometric measurements of children’s bodies in the 5th and 6th primary grades? What is the possibility of preparing a pattern for a school bag based on the table reached in accordance with the anthropometric measurements of children's bodies in the 5th and 6th grades from the? Objectives: Identify the anthropometric measurements of children's bodies in the 5th and 6th primary grades in relation to backpack pattern design and determine the correlation between theLengths,BreadthsandCircumferences measurements of children's bodies in the 5th and 6th primary grades. To conclude a table of measurements of the school bag according to the anthropometric measurements of children’s bodies in the 5th and 6th primary grades. Methodology: the analytical descriptive methodology in addition to the field study[a2] for some schools in the primary stage with the aim to take the anthropometric measurements of the children's bodies in the targeted stage and collect the data to conclude the average measurements of their bodies so that they can be relied upon in the preparation of the applied study, and the applied study so as to design and prepare a model of the school bag according to children’s bodiesmeasurements (sample of the study). Results: Identification of the measurements of children's bodies. The results of the field study proved the validity and reliability of the research hypotheses through the existence of correlations between the measurements of the total lengths, weights and measurements of the different width and circumference of children's bodies at 0.01 significance level. There were no differences between the average body measurements of male and female children for the 5th and 6th primary grades, which led to the development of a table of school bag measurements according to the physical measurements of children’s bodies. The practical study developed a model of the school bag according to the table of measurements of children's bodies. [a1]This is not the proper way to state a problem. [a2]How come; an ana;ytical descriptive approach for a field study?
