Abstract
Ethics in the design profession is an important topic that needs to be discussed. When people see their designs, they not only look at aesthetic and functional aspects of the designs; but they look deeply at the ethics of design and the ethics of designers. The design tells not only a story: culture, history, model of a specific place or area, and a particular community, but also the amount of time, effort, and ethics the designer has put into his design. In order to be considered as well designed and ethical, the design must be based on aesthetic, practical, usable and functional functions for which it is designed, safe, harmless and harmful to the life of people and at the same time environmentally friendly. If the designer can achieve this, the design will be considered well and morally designed. The problem of research The problem lies in the following question: How did design ethics affect product design? The research objective is to focus on the study of design ethics as a key factor in product design. Design solutions must be compliant with the principles of design ethics. The importance of research The research focuses on the need for designers to understand the relationship between design and ethics as well as to achieve the ethical factor in the design of the product, focusing on the moral responsibilities of the designer. Research Methodology The research used a descriptive and analytical approach to the subject of design ethics, by addressing the stages of origin and interest of designers and researchers in this science, and introducing a simplified concept of design ethics and the dimensions thereof.
